Tenterden Town ‘The Jewel in the Weald’ is full of old buildings, antique and interesting shops and places to eat and drink – 6 miles

Biddenden Vineyards England’s oldest commercial cider producers and vineyard – 5 miles

Dover Castle (28 miles) English Heritage

Chapel Down Vineyard - Tenterden. As England’s leading wine producer, Chapel Down wine is served at many prestigious venues including the Royal wedding. An hours tour of the vineyard costs £10.00 per person.  The Swan is the fantastic restaurant at the vineyard, as well as a well stocked shop where you can buy Chapel Down wine and other local produce.

Great Dixter National Trust (11 miles)

Sissinghurst Castle -  has a very rich history and world class gardens. The gardens were created  by writer and poet Vita Sackville-West and her diplomat husband Harold Nicolson in the 1930s. Set in a 450 acre estate, the castle itself was once a prison in the 1700s and later a women’s land army base.  This is a working farm and the gardens are constantly being upkeep to the highest standards (8 miles)

Wildlife Heritage Foundation – Smarden. World renowned breeding programme for big cats including tigers, lions and cheetahs – 5 miles
